Before saying anything else, I'd just like to shortly give my opinion of this piece in two or three simple words - mind-frakking blowing work.
Now, let's continue in the proper way.
The very first thing that catches my attention are the influencing color tones of purple you have used, thus giving the piece both a dark and a magically enchanted feeling. Kudos for that.
My eyes are then drawn to those beautiful curves that can be seen in the clouds surrounding the castle and in the main figure as well, in the latter giving a sense of motion, which is vital for the piece. I immediately think of the great work you did with the Smudge and Liquify Tools in Photoshop and I congratulate you for that. You show your skill and touch details in them.
Last my eyes focus on the main character, the castle and the tree. You have chosen your stock very well, which is quite important and you'll be amazed to learn how many artists just don't pick the right stock for their works. There is no such thing here and you have blended them in the scene perfectly.
My only critique, and this is because I am just this perfectionist that polishes every detail is about the look of the clouds on top of the main character. I am guessing that you have used one of the Artistic Filters in Photoshop on them, and the final result looks like a pastel painting, which just doesn't fit the rest of the scene.
In the end I have to say what I said in the very first sentence - a mind-blowing piece of art. You deserve that Daily Deviation without a doubt. Keep it up.
The color to this art is beautiful, and I particularly like the uniquess of this design. It is a fantastic piece, and The originality itself is quite good, and I like the way that it pops out at you. The wings in particular are one of my favorite pieces, and I enjoy the castle that is there as well. I think that it is one of my favorite pieces here on deviantart.com and that I will look forward to seeing more of this artists work. I will favorite this and continue searching for more like this particular art piece. A very good job done!
Really beautiful! When I saw the thumbnail my first thought was: Yes this is DD worthy, let's see if I can suggest it! and you already had a DD on it! Well deserved!
